AS we begin to unpack the first of the two moving trucks-because Ken was still in Cali with the other moving truck, my sister is whispering to her hubby. I ask what is wrong and Amber says sorry but there is something you need to see or smell. She takes me outside and immediately I smell a geyser. Too bad it wasn't that-my septic was leaking or overflowing under my deck and pooling right where the kids step out into the grass. So this picture is of the girls fascinated and talking off the ear of the septic guy. He came and pumped out 1300 gallons of crap out of a 1000gallon tank. YUCK!! At this point I did not know if this was what was wrong-we could have had a leak. The guy was really nice though and explained that if we saw sewage again or smelled it in a couple of weeks to call him and then we would know it just wasn't overflowing. Of course, the following week Ken had finally made it and we began to smell sewage again. Lucky for us my sister knew someone who knew someone that did septics. Ken called him and he lived just down the street and decided to just drop on by. A little after that I look out my window and there is Ken and this guy digging a hole-yes the girls are right there. They love this stuff. Anyway, they had to put a crack in the line but found that we had blockage in our line and was not letting anything get by it. So, Ken took on the project of cleaning out the line, putting a new piece in, and filling in the hole. We have a nice dead grass area now in our backyard but it is all fixed, we hope :).

Hey LaRues! It is good to see you have a blog and we can see pics of the LaRue ladies! It looks like you are doing great...hey now you don't have to wonder about the tank exploding for a while...those renters had a lot of poooooooo.
I'm so jealous of your view. Rexburg is so pretty, especially where you live. We'll have to come over again when I'm feeling better.
