I guess I should start at the beginning. We got here on August 18th without Ken. My sisters had decorated our house for the occasion. The girls were so excited to finally get here. I couldn't wait to climb into my own bed. I just didn't know that all hell was about to break loose. I already was warned on the lovely smell that came from our downstairs family room area. The renters we had let use our home over the past year had let their dog use that area as its own personal restroom. On top of that our water heater had leaked and ended up flooding the family room. But there were some other disasters that were just waiting for when I arrived. Luckily my family was there to help me through it.
But first, there have been a couple of things that have made it bearable.
ONE,
The girls couldn't believe it when we looked out the window and saw what lived behind us. They are two beautiful horses that the girls now visit on a daily basis. They will come home from school in anticipation to go out and pet their new friends. This is why we moved here.

Isn't home ownership grand! It will be a tough few years, but when you finally start getting your home the way you want it; it will be so with it.
