Idaho Fair

A little break in our saga...
This is my nephew. He is just too cute. He loved going to the fair!

We got to go to the Idaho Fair on Friday. It was very different than the Los Angeles Fair but still fun. One of the things we noticed was that it was small and not every animal was in a cage. There was a lot of yummy food and the place was packed. We checked the animals, there were even peacocks. It brought back memories of when Bri would try to take the eggs and raise them. I don't think it ever worked but she kept on trying. :)

We got to see baby animals, like these baby cows. I was amazed that their skin is pink. The girls got to pet a baby horse too.

Next, we went to the petting zoo. Aunt Bri got the kids food to feed the animals. This is always a fun experience.

We got to visit their science area. The kids played with the bubble machines and collected shells. Not like we don't have a ton of those. They enjoyed making shadows and playing with electricity. Cameron was too cute running around and watching everyone. He enjoyed eating the bubble water.
The last thing we did was ride the rides at the fair. Let me explain this a little. We decided to all split up due to the fact the kids wanted to ride different rides. I took Cora and Ken took Alexa. Cora wanted to ride the monkey cages, a ride where you are put into a cage and then go around like a ferris wheel but as you go around you are flipped in circles, but decided that it might make her throw up so she went on this roller coaster instead. She is at the end of the train in this picture. We then met up with Ken and Alexa and Alexa wanted Cora to go on the next ride with her. She had chosen this ride that had chairs on each end that spun around in a circle as the whole ride went in a circle. I hope you can imagine this. Well Cora said no thanks and we went on our way. I really thought she would decide against it but Ken said that she went on it anyway. I guess the whole time she was on it her face was set in a grimace. When she got off of it she exlaimed, "Boy that was really fast. Fun, but really fast. I think I better choose a slower one next." They promptly went to the giant slide. I guess I have a dare devil-or she is just used to those Disneyland rides. She even had to stand up to get the bar down.

We had a blast. Thanks Uncle Delton for bearing with our VERY slow pace.

Oh! I realized that I have been really bad at not putting any pictures of Kenzie in here. I didn't even take any of her at the fair. I am a bad mommy. So, here are a few. She is finally smiling and I think I got some. I can't believe that she is 9 weeks old.

Have a great, happy day!

Kenzie is super cute! She has grown a lot, really filled out! The fair looks like fun. I love the Alexa story. I miss your kids so much. Life in California is going to be sooo different when we return.

The pace wasn't slow and Delton was just fine with it. He didn't care and we all had a blast!!! I can't believe Alexa rode that! Next stop is Magic Mountain! It's been too much fun sharing all of these experiences with you and your family. Just think of what the future will hold!

I'm jealous you went to the fair. We were going to go, but I was sick. :( Next time I guess.
