Catching Up!

It has been awhile since I have done this and many things have happened. So, here is a quick synapsis of what has gone on. Ken found a job in Utah. What does this mean----I am a full time mommy, which has its good times and bad times. Ken plans on visiting every other weekend as he can work weekends too. The girls are pretty bummed about this but seem to be doing ok. I think I am having the hardest time, especially sleeping, but my sisters have really been GREAT!!! I am truly blessed to have such wonderful sisters so close. My parents have also jumped in to help even though they are miles away---thanks for the phone calls and cards. They have helped. I do have to admit it doesn't give me much free time on my hands but I think we will get this schedule tacked down pretty soon.
Anyway, here are some pics of things that have gone on since I last blogged.
I celebrated my birthday-my sisters and my good friend, Stacy, took me out to dinner and a movie before Ken left--my last girl's night out for who knows how long. Amber had to leave in the middle of it due to her hubby breaking his toe----geez Delton :) He is ok and hobbling around. We saw "Ghost Town"--very funny. We ate at "Hard Hat" which was yummy. Thanks girls!!!

I got to go shopping and buy some new clothes whhich was desperately needed. Delton cooked me an awesome dinner-the steaks were fine Delton- to make up for Amber missing out and the kids got to eat on the trampoline which was fun and a little messy-hence the corn rolling around in the pic.

I got to go on a field trip with Alexa to Mrs. Sutton's Farm. Now I thought this was going to be someone's farm that we were visiting but oh no it was the other kindergarten teacher's house. It was great! First we went to her pumpkin patch with some other vegetation thrown in. Then, on to her house-where she had a horse, chickens, a HUGE pig (800 pounds ), and a rabbit--oh and apple trees. Then we went to see her yaks-yes yaks. They are easier to maintain than cows, I guess. The last stop was Broulims, which is a grocery store, and the tour was awesome. I was extremely tired and so were the kids, Alexa actually fell asleep on the couch later that day.

Those apples were delicious The yak-I didn't realize this one was
going to the butcher.

Broulims-The End

Alexa lost another tooth---too bad it isn't Christmas yet.

I want to suck your blood!!

The girls helped repaint the family room. Ken had to keep reminding himself that it was ok if paint got everywhere

At first the girls had to do manual labor-Alexa pretended she was making a list, I guess I make too many lists:)

But then they got to paint--Keep your eyes on the wall, Alexa

During all of this we have been painting the girls room also. They requested pink and purple and I just didn't have the heart to say no. They have had to sleep in the living room and after a couple of days they were ready to go back to their room. I don't think Mozart minded.

The last thing is we have a couple of trees in our yard. The girls have taken to climbing them Here they are showing off their stuff with a couple of scratches here and there. Notice the shoes Alexa is climbing in---she is our princess through and through.
