It has happened but I bet you can't guess who it happened too. This picture is of 2 stitches on a forehead--yes the cut is small but oh so deep.
Here is the story, all of you know that my daughters love to help out. One of the many projects we have going on right now is our deck. We are still having issues with those friendly-yah right- mice. So, Ken has decided that if we tear the deck away from the house then he could get a better view of where the mice are coming in. Honestly, I think he just wanted to tear something apart and knew this was the way to get me to agree. So, to help out the girls began to pull out the nails as Daddy pulled up the boards. Today one of the girls was out helping Daddy pull out nails. I am sure you are already grimacing because you know what is going to happen. Dumb me even took a picture of them working together right before it happened. As Daddy was telling our little girl to stay back--she listened so well and leaned forward just as Daddy went forward with the crow bar. I guess when it happened she looked up dazed and then tears welled up and blood started flowing down. I looked outside and saw the blood and almost about died. I grabbed some towels and ran outside. Luckily the bleeding stopped after a while. We discussed what we should do next since it was small. It was decided that we needed to take her to emergency just to make sure stitches were not needed. Between tears and my sister coming to help with Kenzie we got to the Emergency clinic pretty fast. Lucky we did---we didn't realize how deep the cut was. Two stitches later, some doughnuts(a treat), and a small toy she was boasting "Mommy, I didn't even fell anything---you mean the doctor used a needle to stitch me up----I didn't feel a thing". Thanks to a very competent doctor and staff my little one will not be so worried if stitches ever arise again---knock on wood :) For those of you still wondering who it was look below:
I am so proud of her.
Below is the picture I took right before it happened.
