Good Bye Christmas--Hello 2009!

The girls had a couple of performances to end the year with. They participated in a play at their school. They did a great job and had smiles all around.

They then performed for Company B, a singing group. This was very interesting since during the performance Cora's tights kept falling down and she just pulled up her shirt and yanked up those tights-he,he,he. Not to be out done, Alexa decided there was a booger that needed tending to and took care of that. Amber video taped it and she had to keep going from one girl to the next to not catch this on camera. I was dying!!

Alexa is loving me being home and is starting to warm up to Kenzie. She wanted me to take a picture of her feeding Kenzie. Honestly, between Alexa showing Kenzie how to open her mouth and Kenzie giggling and smiling at her I don't think a lot of the food went into the mouth. Oh well!
My parents arrived for Christmas and Ken was able to come down. There is a tradition here in Burton that has been going on for 120 years. On Christmas Eve, they put a Christmas tree in the middle of the room and a live band plays Christmas music while everyone dances around the tree. It was very cute! The girls loved it.

Christmas Day was jammed pack full of opening gifts. The girls were truly spoiled this year. I have a ton of pics but I thought Kenzie should have one of her-it being her first Christmas. This one is of her enjoying one of the chew toys, I mean dolls, she received.

The girls and I loved having my parents here. We were very sad to see them go. My dad did a ton of little things around the house that I could not or would not do :) He shoveled almost every day and helped teach the girls how to shovel---as Cora tells me "to help you out mommy, so you don't get hurt again." I love her! Thanks dad and mom!

My car is the biggest so we piled in to go to all of the many destinations while my parents were here.

-----------------------------------------------------
New Year's Eve was celebrated at Amber's house. Now, I will give you two guesses of who this is.
Yep. it's Cora! She was working at this toy tool table with a Trooper's helmet on. My girls will do anything while dressed up.
Kenzie and Cameron went to bed on time and didn't get to stay up till midnight but Cora and Alexa did, for the first time---it was a big deal. Anyway, Cameron got these Car slippers that he did not take off all night--too cute!

Amber made a cheescake that was yummy and the the kids played games and decorated a gingerbread house, with the help of Aunt Bri and Uncle Delton.

When midnight hit Delton lit some fireworks, we toasted one another, and some lovin' went on. Let me clarify-----Amber and Delton shared some love and that was it.

On New Year's Day-it was just me and the girls. We watched movies and the girls took me to a beauty salon. I got my toes painted, my nails painted, and my hair was done. It's not going to a spa but at least I know I am loved. The best part was that they kept saying-you look fabulous, you're gorgeous...but had to remind me that they were like the robots from Wall-E. Oh well at least I have rainbow style toes and nails.

I hope everyone had a safe and fun New Year!!!! Congrats to Shawna for her new baby girl. Love ya!

I love the girls' matching hats - that is so darn cute.

Where do you get the festive templates? I wanted a different one, but all the ones that are on the set-up page are boreing.
