OK---as you know I was hoping to take a year off of work. Well that is not going to happen. So, I have been brainstorming over the last week about what I should do. I, of course, want to stay at home. Lots of ideas came into my head, teaching on-line courses, tutoring, secret shopper, and a pre-school but these just were not working for me. Then I thought-daycare? Yep-I think I am going to try to do a day care. I have enough stuff, I already am brainstorming activities to do on a daily basis and have found some connections on menus to give to parents for lunch. Now I just need your help on any ideas, advice, etc. on first, a name for this day care. Second, any ideas on what you have seen, heard, or experienced in a day care that you think was great and I should have it in mine. Lastly, any other things I may have not thought of that you can think of. I have looked into the Idaho state regulations and as long as I take under 6 children I don't have to be licensed. I will get licensed in the future just because I would think people would rather send their child to a licensed one than not but I want to see how things go. I have thought of some names but I don't really like them-Mother Bear Day Care or Sunshine Day Care. I would be open from 6am-5pm. But that is about it. I think I will run it with a daily schedule and definitely some learning time for the older ones and if the young ones want to join they can. I have yet to figure out beds for nap time and high chairs for lunch-any ideas would be great. Oh-and I am going to post it in the church bulletin and the free penny saver. I need to get this up and running as soon as possible so let me know what you think. I really don't want to do this but I have to. I guess if you can think of anything else let me know. Thanks!!!!

I can't read any of your comments because of the color you choose. I'm sorry but I could see the pictures and all the pictures are great! The girls are ao cute and they seem to be having a lot of fun during Halloween. We really missed going trick or trewating with you this year. I love you all and miss you a lot but I can tell you really like it there in Rexburg. The costumes were great and the loving pictures with Kensey made me want to hug you all. Remember, you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Love always, Grandma and Papa
I would definitely have a contract of some type to protect yourself. I am sure you could find some examples somewhere. Just one thought I had.
Love the idea! Let me think about it for little bit and I will call you!
I hope everything is going well. Let me know how the daycare turns out! It was great to talk to you the other night! I really hope things jump start quickly for you! If you need any ideas for daycare, let me know... I work at one! (if you want that kind of place) LOL!
Hey Heather... I was reading this and thought I would share. I was going to start a little business doing baby signs. It is a great program and low stress. You would be great at it. You don't have to know sign language to do it, but you will learn some and it is a great time to get little kenzie started. If you want more info let me know. You would be doing classes with about 6 kids and parents for 45 min, teaching them baby signs. It really is super cute and you can make up to 18,000 a year or more depending on how many classes you decide to do.
Let me know.
